addition to our annual Northwest Folklife Festival,
Northwest Folklife is proud to produce, sponsor
or co-sponsor numerous events throughout the
year, celebrating our community heritage through
dance, music, and other cultural traditions.
These events include the annual Benefit Auction.

and Cajun dance lesson with Sean Donovan

Get
in the Folklife spirit on Mother's Day! Treat
your mom to an afternoon of Cajun dancing at
Third Place Commons, a community space in Lake
Forest Park Town Center. Folklife favorite File
Gumbo will provide the traditional bayou grooves,
and "Gatorboy" Sean Donovan will teach
basic Cajun two-step from 2:00 -2:30 PM. Come
for the dancing, and stay for the opening day
of the Lake Forest Park Farmers' Market!
