A-Y-P Centennial Showcase, with performances by groups that echo ones that in the 1909 Exposition:
• A Scandinavian music-and-dance extravaganza with high-energy musicians Hale Bill & The Bopps and dance group Bygdedeal (Nordic)
• Throat singing, music, games and Inuit culture from Karin and Kathy Kettler, sisters who make up the group Nukariik (Inuit)
• Chinese folktales and stories portrayed by Dragon Art Studio Puppeteers and their extraordinarily lifelike rod puppets (Chinese) and
• Hawaiian music icon and storyteller extraordinare, bringing the spirit of Aloha straight from the Islands, Brother Noland (Hawaiian)
Sunday, 8:00-10:00pm in the Bagley Wright Theatre
Tahqua Alaska Native Arts Performing Group celebrates Alaska Native culture and spirit with music, dance, stories, and more
• Funk music, blending dance, soul, jazz, rock and blues with theatrical performance, poetry and spoken word as only the Little Big Band can do it!
• Traditional Alaska Native dance by Unangax Aleut Dancers that combines breathtaking spectacle and incredible regalia
• Music, storytelling, and poetry with violin virtuoso Swil Kanim
• Ethereal and enchanting Native American flute music by Peter Ali
• Solana Booth & Chaske, and
• Music, dance, storytelling, and raven dancing Gene Tagaban, One Crazy Raven!
