My Healthy Kids
Get Movin’ and Eat Healthy with the Seattle Children’s Festival!
We know that a healthy lifestyle involves a eating healthy food and staying active as a family, and at the Seattle Children’s Festival — there’s many ways to do just that.
Introducing ‘In The Kitchen with Chef T‘ at the Seattle Children’s Festival!
Northwest Folklife’s Seattle Children’s Festival celebrates the cultural traditions of many — new this year, kids can explore the many ways different cultures cook and eat healthy with Chef T. Chef Tarik Abdullah was featured on ABC’s “The Taste,” a competitive cooking show and is well-known for his pop-up brunches in South Seattle at the Hillman City Collaboratory. Families will have the chance to learn how to create healthy snacks from fruits and veggies found in their neighborhoods.
Kids with regular exercise grow strong bones and muscles and create healthy habits for the whole family. That’s why we’ve organized the Movement Series, a collection of activities and workshops aimed at getting kids and caregivers on their feet and moving. It’s fun and easy to stay active when you’re hopping with Irish Step dancing or twisting into a new yoga pose.
