Nights for Folklife are benefit events in support of Northwest Folklife’s year-round programs, including the Northwest Folklife Festival. An invitation to become a Friend of Folklife will be part of the event. Levels of support begin at $60 and Friends of Folklife benefits include receiving the Northwest Foklife Festival Guide by mail in May. Learn more.

Do you envision hosting an event to benefit Northwest Folklife?

Nights for Folklife hosts are as creative as any artists, putting together unique events that reflect their own passions. From wine dinners to benefit shows to intimate evening salons, each organizer makes the event their own. Events may be private or public, depending on the host’s preferences. Northwest Folklife’s team will assist you with all aspects of your Nights for Folklife event, including concept, implementation, marketing, and promotion.

How much does it cost to attend a Nights for Folklife event? Some of these fundraisers are ticketed, others are ‘pass the hat’ or suggested donation with all or a portion of the proceeds going to support Northwest Folklife.

How do I become a Friend of Folklife? You may become a supporter right now! Click here to learn more. Your support makes it possible for Northwest Folklife to bring artists and audiences together to play, dance, sing, taste, and learn together all year round. Your support creates opportunities for artists and performers to celebrate, share and sustain the vitality of folk, ethnic and traditional arts for present and future generations.

What will Northwest Folklife provide for my Night for Folklife? Let us know your plans of your Night for Folklife six -eight weeks in advance. We will explore with you how we can best support your event and help you reach your fundraising goal. In some cases, we will send someone from the Folklife team to greet your guests and talk to them about Folklife!
