Postponed: 49th Annual Northwest Folklife Festival
May 22 - May 25
To our dear Folklife community,
It is with a heavy heart that we announce our decision to postpone the 49th Annual Northwest Folklife Festival, initially set to take place Memorial Day Weekend, May 22-25 2020 at Seattle Center.
This decision was not made lightly, but ultimately, we feel this is the best decision for our greater community. We believe that postponement of this important tradition is necessary to protect the public, and particularly our most vulnerable populations.
Although we cannot celebrate together in one space at this time, we hope to see you continue to share your songs, dances, foods, and stories that keep us going. We encourage you to keep living out your folklife in your own homes.
