CONTRA MARATHON – BENEFIT for the NW FOLKLIFE FESTIVAL
March 10, 2016 @ 7:30 pm - 11:00 pm
Mar 10 – The 11th Annual CONTRA MARATHON – BENEFIT for the NW FOLKLIFE FESTIVAL – 6 bands, 17 callers! 3 hours non-stop fun, no walk-thru’s! The music doesn’t stop, but dancers jump in or out at the ends of the lines to rest, change partners (or shirts), and rehydrate. New folks are encouraged to attend the intro workshop at 7:30 pm.
Lake City Contra/Old-Time Country Dance at the Lake City Community Center, 12531 28th Ave. NE, Seattle; free introductory workshop at 7:30 pm, dance 8-11 pm; $10 (students & seniors $8, kids & first-time contradancers free); additional donations for Folklife are appreciated!
