Crossroads Cultural Arts Series: The Klez Katz

June 16, 2018 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Free

Back by popular demand! Northwest Folklife is honored and excited to share the 6th annual series of curated, family-friendly cultural arts performances on the Eastside at Crossroads Mall’s Market Stage in Bellevue (15600 NE 8th Street) on the third Saturday of every month from 1 PM to 3 PM at no-charge!

The Klez Katz

The Klez Katz are dedicated to the preservation and encouragement of the rich musical heritage of the Yiddish diaspora. Their repertoire encompasses freilach, bulgar, sher, terkishe, khosidl, theater music, folk songs and even the odd klezmer-influenced jazz tune, performed on tenor and soprano saxes, trombone, flute, keyboard, accordion, bass and vocals. Four fun-loving hard (and soft) blowing klezmer musicians comprise The Klez Katz, ready to set off a musical fireworks show right you right now!
