Cultural Focus: “Big World Breaks teaches kids with Industrial Revelation”

Calling all 6th-12th grade instrumental musicians in the Greater Seattle Area!!!
Big World Breaks talented peers and collaborators, Industrial Revelation {D’Vonne Lewis (drums), Ahamefule J. Oluo (trumpet), Josh Rawlings (keys) and Evan Flory-Barnes (bass)} are leading the “Seattle JazzED: Combo Dynamics and Performance Master Class”, presented by KPLU-FM!

Industrial Revelation was founded by D’Vonne Lewis in 2005. D’Vonne is one of Seattle’s most sought-after drummers. The band also features Ahamefule J. Oluo on trumpet, Evan Flory-Barnes on bass, and Josh Rawlings on keyboards. Individually, the four members have worked with nearly every major artist in Seattle, and plenty more beyond–from Macklemore and Das Racist to Robert Glasper and Wynton Marsalis. Most recently the quartet received the 2014 Stranger Genius Award.
