Indigenous Peoples’ Day 2019: Love Knows No Borders
October 14 @ 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Celebrations at Daybreak Star Indian Cultural Center
A team of Native activists and allies successfully advocated for the City of Seattle to recognize the second Monday in October as Indigenous Peoples’ Day in 2014. That year, United Indians hosted Seattle’s first Indigenous Peoples’ Day celebration. We commemorate the day annually with a rally and march downtown, followed by speeches, Native cultural performances, and a community dinner at Daybreak Star. All are welcome!
Please join us on Monday, October 14, 2019, for our 5th annual Indigenous Peoples’ Day commemoration, with the theme of Love Knows No Borders. Check the Facebook event page for more details.
