La Charla de la Gente: Hoy

Northwest Folklife is proud to present La Charla de la Gente, a series of panels exploring the meaning of Mexican American, Chicana/o, Latinx, and Indigenous identities. The four-part series includes Introducción (La Charla de la Gente: Introducción by Northwest Folklife), Ayer (La Charla de la Gente: Ayer), Hoy, and Mañana (La Charla de la Gente: Mañana).

Hoy (Today) will feature conversations with:
■ Aurelio Valdez, member of Próxima Generación
■ Edgardo Garcia, Festival Producer for the Dia de Muertos Festival Seattle
■ Barbara Rodriguez, Artistic Coordinator for the Dia de Muertos Festival Seattle
■ Jake Prendez, Artist (Jake Prendez: Artist/Satirist) and Founding member of Colectiva Noroeste
■ Julissa Sanchez

Moises J. Himmelfarb, Director of the Mexican Cultural Institute in Seattle, will be moderating this panel.
