Lillejuleaften is the evening before Christmas Eve, often filled with traditions and ‘jule-hygge’ (Christmas coziness) for many Danes. This julehygge can be felt at the annual Lillejuleaften Christmas service arranged by the Danish community in Seattle.
Join in for a cozy evening that will get you into the Christmas spirit with friends, family, and community. The evening includes a sermon by Danish Pastor Susanne Rasmussen.
Come and sing Danish Christmas hymns and enjoy the coffee hour with julekage after the service. If possible, bring cookies to share in the spirit of the holidays. The julekage is donated by Larsen’s Bakery. Thank you Larsen’s!
Everyone is welcome. The offering each year helps the homeless through Compass Housing Alliance.
***We are recruiting for the CHOIR this year. The choir will practice on December 17th. Please contact Northwest Danish Association if you are interested in joining this year’s choir (call 206.523.3263 or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org).***
