Make Music Seattle – PhinneyWood
June 21 @ 3:00 pm - 9:00 pmFree
Make Music Day is a free celebration of music around the world always held on Summer Solstice – the longest day of the year, June 21st.
Launched in 1982 in France as the Fête de la Musique, it is now held on the same day in more than 750 cities in 120 countries.
Completely different from a typical music festival, Make Music Day is open to anyone who wants to take part. All of it is free and participatory for everyone, all ages and genres and all live performances.
We will be collaborating with Make Music Seattle, a local non-profit organization that was created in 2015 to celebrate music in Seattle, the City of Music. Businesses in PhinneyWood will be participating within their business in celebration of the day; check back here in early June to find a list of participating businesses and their activities.
