Marley’s Ghost Live in Concert
October 21, 2017 @ 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm
$20
Marley’s Ghost can sing and play anything with spot-on feel, from roots to rock, blues to bluegrass, gospel to stone country, which is what they’ve been doing throughout their first quarter-century as a working unit. Their trademark multi-part harmonies never cease to captivate, whether on record or in live performance. Dusty Strings is proud to present them for the first time in concert on October 21.
On the heels of The Woodstock Sessions, its rootsy collaboration with producer Larry Campbell to celebrate the band’s 30th anniversary, Marley’s Ghost returned to the studio with Campbell to continue the chemistry. The result is a joyful and resonant album of gospel roots featuring the band’s trademark multi-part harmonies to be released in 2017.
“Thirty years into their career, Marley’s Ghost is like a well-worn leather jacket. You can admire their tenure intelectually, but up-close, with your ears, you can’t help but be moved by the effortless music that tenure has produced.” – No Depression
“Marley’s Ghost has earned cult-band status over years of spirited musicianship, multi-part harmonies and irreverent humor.” – Paste Magazine
“The real draw is the band itself, showcasing the kind of ensemble performances that come only from a lifetime of playing together, thriving across the decades as virtuosic, unsung heroes of country, folk, and Western swing.” – Acoustic Guitar Magazine
