Pagdiriwang Philippine Festival
June 2 @ 8:00 am - June 3 @ 5:00 pm
The annual Pagdiriwang Philippine Festival seeks to provide a rich educational, interactive, colorful and interesting series of events, workshops, exhibits, demonstrations and performances that highlight Philippine history, art and culture through various art forms – performing, visual, photography, literary, musical, and culinary – while expressing the culture’s commonality with other ethnic groups. The festival aims to provide more insight into the rich diversity and provenance of what makes Filipino art and culture both unique and common to other ethnic groups. The audience will learn about Filipino history, art and culture beyond stereotypes, as well as the Filipinos’ contributions to the dynamic economic and cultural life of the City of Seattle and the Pacific Northwest.
The Pagdiriwang Philippine Festival is produced by the Filipino Heritage Society of Washington (FCHSW) in partnership with Seattle Center and community organizations.
