Seattle English Country Dance – a benefit for Northwest Folklife
March 13, 2015 @ 7:30 pm - 10:30 pm$8.00
This dance is part of a four day event called the Cascade Promenade, which hosts many contra and English dances along the I-5 corridor. Everyone is invited to attend this dance. There will be a FREE 1/2 hour lesson for newcomers at 7:30 pm. The dance itself will run from 8:00-10:30 pm. No partners are needed as we switch partners for each dance. All dances are taught, walked though and then called as you dance the patterns. All proceeds will go directly to NW Folklife.
The SWEDISH CLUB has very generously donated the dance hall and will charge us no rent for the evening. Therefore the usual rent will be donated to NW Folklife. In addition, the caller and the musicians will also be donating their time and talent for the event.
Our regular admission charge is $8.00 for the evening. We hope that many will donate more generously for this event. If you wish to donate with a check, please feel free to do so claim a tax deduction. You could even become a Friend of Folklife that night! There will even be some give-a-ways that night!
Please visit our website at : seattledance.org/english for more information about the event and other English dances.
