Rick Harlan: "Sing Like Pete Seeger Liked!" ^

Rick says: I’ve led singing for about 60 years, pretty much like Pete Seeger liked: “Sing Out!” Pete urged! And if not for Pete, would festivals like Folklife have started a half century ago?! So I’ve invited a dozen fellow folksingers to lead an hour of songs—ones that Pete Seeger wrote, stole or borrowed, or changed; or ones he would just love to know we were singing together--even if all but one of us have to be unheard, in our cute little onscreen boxes!

So come sing your heart out--nobody will know if you’re on pitch or singing a totally unique harmony! I hope people will use the Chat box: for sharing memories of Pete Seeger AND gratitudes for how great folksong leaders like these friends of mine still “Carry it on!” So drop in--by clicking on! I hope you can join in, on time, 3:45; then leave anytime if you need to. Looking forward to seeing your smiling singing faces soon! Because now as always, we have our "songs to sing, all over this land!”
