Introducing Julie Chang, Programming Coordinator

We’re excited to announce the addition of Julie Chang (Julie-C) to our Northwest Folklife team!  Julie has been a Hip-Hop artist, educator, and cultural organizer in Seattle for the last 15 years, with grassroots experience in Hip-Hop, urban arts, media justice, and youth service organizations. She is also the primary liaison of Artist Coalition for Equitable Development (ACED). Today, we are happy to announce that Julie will join our programming team as a Programming Coordinator.

“As a homegrown Seattle artist and community servant, I am honored to join the Folklife team in these historically definitive times. Now more than ever, the transformative powers of heritage, art, culture, and creativity are being conjured to ensure a more humane, equitable world. Such is the long-standing legacy of NW Folklife, and I’m excited to help bring this visionary mission into the future for this city, region, and beyond.”

Welcome to the team, Julie-C!
